September 1, 2011 2:00pm

Wichita, Kan. (Sept 01, 2011) – The Wichita Aero Club and KPTS-TV, Channel 8, Wichita’s Public Television station, will host a reception on Thursday evening, September 15 at the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT) to debut the second season of “The Aviators,” a magazine style television series that includes segments on all aspects of aviation. The executive producer of the series, Anthony Nalli, will be present for the premier. The event begins at 5:30 PM in the Commons at the new training facility at Jabara Airport.

“The Aviators is an exciting TV magazine series that features the magical and fascinating world of flight with behind the scenes looks at the heart, the passion, and the excitement of aviation,” said Pat Moyer, Director of Content at KPTS-TV, which will air the series on Friday evenings at 7:30 PM. It features the series hosts—Anthony, Kurtis and Sara— as they offer reports on all aspects of aviation including how airline pilots train, how planes are built, and how the ATC system works. They’ll also profile aviation businesses and showcase aviation products including, quite possibly, some people and products from Wichita, as they did last year. It’s a great way to find out just about everything you’ve ever wanted to know about everything you’ve ever wanted to fly,” he added.

“This is a series that not only deals with the subject many of our members are passionate about—it may very well include segments about some of them,” said Dave Franson, Wichita Aero Club executive director. “We’re pleased to team with KPTS-TV and NCAT to host the premier and Anthony Nalli, the show’s executive producer for this event. We hope a number of our members will have the chance to come out and meet him.”
