Dave Franson is the Executive Director of the Wichita Aero Club. A veteran aviation executive with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, he founded Franson Consulting, Inc., specializing in media relations, public affairs and marketing. A 1971 graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois, he earned a master’s degree in Mass Communications from Wichita State University in 1982. Prior to establishing his own firm in 2004, he served as Director of U.S. Public Affairs for Bombardier Learjet, Vice President of Public Relations at Cessna Aircraft Company, VP of Meetings and Membership for the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and Vice President of Public Affairs for Allied Signal Aerospace Company (now Honeywell). A native of Michigan, he and his wife, Cindy, have been married since 1973. They are the parents of two grown children.
