Speaker: U.S. Congressman Mike Pompeo
Congressman Mike Pompeo is one of aviation’s biggest cheerleaders. As the author of the Small Airplane Revitalization Act (SARA), he helped to reform and modernize regulations, create jobs for Kansans, make planes safer and cut costs.
Mike’s passion for aviation and education brings him to Wichita for the Kansas Aviation Expo where he will be addressing high school juniors and seniors at the KAE Career Day on Thursday and speaking to our Aero Club crowd on Friday.
Mike has been a strong supporter of the Wichita Aero Club and an active leader in the community all while taking care of his responsibilities in Washington.
In addition to his work on aviation legislation, Mike serves on two major committees: Energy and Commerce, which oversees energy, health care, manufacturing, and telecommunications, and the House Intelligence Committee, which oversees America’s intelligence-gathering efforts.
